Dream Cruises to Increase Genting Dream’s Passenger Capacity to 75% Beginning from 1 December

Based on the latest guidelines by the Hong Kong authorities, Dream Cruises announced that Genting Dream will increase its passenger capacity from 50% to 75%, with effect from 1 December 2021, allowing over 2500 guests to enjoy a Super Seacation on every voyage.

“Dream Cruises is delighted to be able to increase passenger capacity on board Genting Dream to 75% and we would like to thank the Hong Kong authorities for providing us with this stamp of approval on the effectiveness of our health and hygiene protocols,” said Mr. Kent Zhu, President of Genting Cruise Lines. “Since we resumed cruises on 30 July, we have welcomed over 70,000 passengers on Genting Dream without any COVID-19 related incidents and we are grateful to the residents of Hong Kong for putting their trust in our hands.”

With overall demand for cruises at a consistently high level since operations resumed and with the Christmas and New Year’s sailings already sold out based on the previous 50% capacity, this increase will provide a boost to the holiday season for guests who have been unable to book their Super Seacation during this peak period.

Just in time for the festive season, guests can set sail on “A Nordic Christmas Adventure” from now until 1 January to explore the age-old traditions of Sweden, Finland, Norway, Denmark and Iceland with friends and family this holiday. Explore the enchanted Nordic village and browse the Nordic market for Christmas goodies or take in the magical Santa Express running through a tasty Gingerbread Town. Partake in a sumptuous holiday feast in the wide range of restaurants on board Genting Dream then take in “VERRY Christmas” the seasonal stage production that will charm guests of all ages with its yuletide spirit.

As an added bonus, and to show appreciation for the loyal support of their guests, Dream Cruises is also offering a special Thanksgiving flash sale starting on 24 November to 7 December with fares starting from as low as $888 per person. For more details, please visit

Dream Cruises opens World Dream cruise bookings to international travellers in addition to Singapore residents

Boosting Singapore’s international tourism industry and Fly-Cruise sector

In accordance with the prevailing guidelines by the Singapore authorities, Dream Cruises has opened World Dream sailings to non-residents in Singapore, as well as international travellers, including those entering the country via the Vaccinated Travel Lanes (VTLs)1. This marks a new milestone for Dream Cruises that will help to fuel the recovery of the cruise industry in Singapore and regionally.

Non-residents in Singapore and international travellers can now look forward to more holiday options beyond local land-based resorts, with exciting opportunities to cruise aboard World Dream from Singapore. International travellers entering Singapore will have to fulfil the mandatory Border & Health Control Measures in Response to COVID-19 as implemented by the Immigration & Checkpoints Authority (ICA) 2 to be eligible to cruise. As part of Dream Cruises’ ongoing commitment towards the safety of its guests and crew, all embarking guests will need to be fully vaccinated for COVID-19 and continue to undergo a compulsory pre-boarding Antigen Rapid Test (ART) at the cruise terminal and present a negative test result for COVID-19.

“World Dream has carried over 200,000 guests since cruising resumed in Singapore on 6 November 2020 and celebrated its first anniversary earlier this month. With cruise bookings now open to non- residents in Singapore and international travellers, it is indeed fantastic news, as we have been working hard towards this goal with the demonstration of safe cruises over the past year,” said Mr. Michael Goh, President of Dream Cruises. “Our progression to the next phase of cruising is timely and we are highly optimistic that demand will continue to rise with the contribution of the Fly-Cruise segment. With the support of the Singapore Tourism Board (STB) and local authorities, as well as from our local and international travel partners, we are excited to now welcome international travellers on World Dream under prevailing national guidelines and we look forward to exploring future possibilities, including destination cruises,” added Mr. Michael Goh.
